My passion for photography began on a work experience placement during secondary school. After a week working in the local photographers I was offered a part time job and from then I was hooked. I decided to go to college in Aberdeen to gain my qualification in Professional Photography and Imaging. At college my strengths were portraiture and fine art photography.
I loved my time in the darkrooms and my favourite tool to work with in the studio was the 5”x4” camera. After my course I continued to work in the industry working in a photographic lab and also with a photographer in Aberdeen to gain experience.

Since then I have travelled to far off countries and photographed some stunning scenery along the way. I now live in the village of Croy near Inverness with my husband and little girl. I grew up in Aviemore and it is such a beautiful part of Scotland and plays a big part of my landscape photography.

My photographic style is really to capture moments from wedding days by paying attention to everything that is happening around me. I want my images to tell a story of the days events so that the bride and groom have lasting memories of the day. I like to shoot a balance of the traditional family shots, some artistic shots and also some shots where you are even unaware that I am there.

Portraiture is still one of my passions and I like my portraits to be fun and relaxed. Portraits can be shot anywhere with any props as long as we are all having fun!

Hope you enjoy my work
